News

Thank you to Troop 368 for being the service troop at our spring Cub Adventure weekend at Camp Mauritz. If you are interested in being a service troop for future events, please contact Eddie Rodriguez.

FOS

Congratulations to all of our Scouting families for raising a total of $14,421 for our annual Friends of Scouting campaign! Your commitment to Scouting is the key to our success. Please share your Scouting stories with your coworkers, church members, families, neighbors, and anywhere else. Scouting is alive and growing, because of you!

Unit Service

Our commissioner staff is excited and ready to assist our units. By now, each unit should have been visited by their unit commissioner. Unit leaders, if you have any questions, please contact your unit commissioner. They are here to help!

Membership

Cub leaders, now is the time to re-energize your dens. A member of our district committee will be contacting you in the near future to schedule a spring rally for your unit. Please help coordinate your Pack’s recruitment rally so that once August rolls around, your Pack is ready for the new Scouts!

Training

Unit leaders, if you are in need of training, please contact our District trainer, Katrin McDonough so that she may schedule a session with you. Training is crucial to the success of your unit. If you find yourself struggling with parental support, we are willing to go to your next meeting and get them trained!

From your District executive

I want to thank all of you that helped make our annual pinewood derby the success that it was. With Scott Cook and Troop 104’s leadership, this event made lasting memories in the lives of our young Cub Scouts. Thank you to Rosanna Shoemake of the Victoria Mall for letting us use their facility.

I want to thank Paul Polasek for his leadership in guiding our district’s annual Friends of Scouting campaign. We are close to reaching our goal of raising $35,000 to help fund Scouting in Deleon district for 2008.
