Recharter

Now is the time to get ready for the February re-charter. On time re-charter is a main ingredient for a good unit. You can start the year off right by getting ready early. It is important that units start preparing for re-charter now, so that when the packets are ready it does not take long to get it down. Feburay is here and it is now the time to act. If you have any questions on the online recharter, please call the office at 814-4300. It is very important that we recharter on time, so that all the units can be quality units and that we can be quality district.

Roundtable

Lets not forget that Roundtable is a vital resource to unit leaders. It is a great time for fun and fellowship. It is also a place where a lot of information can be given out, concerning the District, Council and National levels. It is also a good time to talk to other leaders and find out what they are doing.

Mauritz Adventure Weekend

Camp Mauritz is a little kept secret in the South Texas Council. It is just above Victoria. It is a great area to take the unit to do camping, fishing. It has a lot to offer. The Camp has big trees and great campsites. If you have that weekend free and are wanting to go to a great Cub Scout program, please visit Camp Mauritz. Call Mary at the office and make your plans.

TDC - Trainer Development Conference

TDC is also known as Trainer Development Conference. This is a one day conference that is a back bone training for all unit leaders. This Conference helps in training your pack or troop trainer. It is a good resource to have in your pack or troop. Most of the unit leaders that come to the TDC go on to do Wood badge. If you want to know about training and how to be a trainer this is the place to be.

F.O.S

This years Friends of Scouting Campaign is off to a great start. The district has collected in over $10,000 dollars. This campaign helps with keeping the Scout office working. The money that is raised with this money helps keep Mary and the office staff with what they need. It also helps keep the Scout Shop open. One of the other products of the F.O.S is that it keeps ALL the CAMPS OPEN, that way the boys will have places to go. John Martinez the Gulf Breeze District Executive will be calling on the Cub master and set up a date to come and do a F.O.S presentation.
