Memorials and Honoring

Remembering Someone Special

The South Texas Council, Boy Scouts of America welcomes donations made in honor of someone special, whether living or deceased.  Gifts in honor or in memory of someone may be made at any level, at any time.

Please specify whom you wish to honor in writing, and send your gift with your written request to the South Texas Council at the address found on this website.  Please inform us if we should notify other individuals about the gift you have made, and please include the mailing addresses for them.  We are happy to support you in this fashion.

An example of remembering someone special is that the South Texas Council named its service center in Corpus Christi - the hub of Scouting activities across South Texas - "Lucien Flournoy Service Center" in honor of the late Lucien Flournoy of Alice, Texas, who was an important donor and good friend to the Council (Lucien Flournoy Service Center in Corpus Christi may be viewed at right).

Please review the sections of this website regarding "Planned Giving" and "Endowing Scouting's Future" for other unique ways to honor a person who is - or has been - special to you.  Thank you!
