Race To Scouting

Rally, Roundup, School Night…. Membership Recruitment!

Whatever you call it…it’s time to invite new members to join and be a part of Scouting and its programs. We are armed with great material and resources to help organizations and existing units accomplish this:

·          We have a VHS information tape for every Tiger Cub age boy in our council.   Let’s use these so boys and parents can see the excitement.  Call your District Executive for  additional information.

·           We have a free Race to Cub Scouting Pinewood Derby Kit lunch box with a car inside for every new Cub Scout who joins with a paid application. Call your District Executive for more information.

·          We have outstanding posters, membership kits and other support material for all Scouting programs.

·          And there’s an outstanding link to Boy Scouting promotion at www.thescoutzone.org

·          And www.joincubscouting.org    for Cub Scout recruiting material.   E-mail those links to every potential member and family you know! They are at www.stxbsa.org

We need your commitment and help to deliver the promise of Scouting.  Invite every prospective member and family.  Nothing is more effective than person to person recruiting.  Remember that boys do not have to have been in Cub Scouts to be a Boy Scout or Venturer.

Everyday is a good day to join Scouting, but everyday that passes id an opportunity lost for a youth that could grow from the experiences, savor the fun and cherish the memories. Help make your unit's Race to Scouting a race where every child wins!
