Camp MauritzMauritz Scout Reservation – near Lake Texana near Ganado and Victoria. This 130-acre site is a “weekend camp.” Various activities and events are held there. In addition to beautiful wooded campsites, activity areas and a small lake, the camp has a training center for youth and adult training activities. It is staffed the year around by a resident “Ranger” (telephone: 361-771-2395). All camping reservations for Scout units going to Camp Mauritz located at Ganado, Texas, MUST be addressed to: Lavaca-Navidad River Authority Attn: Maxine Price 4631 FM 429 Edna, TX 77957 Phone: 361-782-5456 Fax: 361-782-5419 e-mail: mprice@lnra.org However, if any of our Scout units are planning to make reservations to attend this camp, the adult leader in charge MUST submit a Local Tour Permit to this office and be prepared to show this approved permit upon request at any time during their camping stay at Camp Mauritz. If planning to conduct water activities, someone attending must have the required trainings, such as Safe Swim Defense, Safety Afloat and CPR, etc.
